This is what you will need:

  • A colourful open basket
  • Pine cones
  • Hyacinths
  • Plastic bags
  • Pretty tissue paper
  • Colourful sticky tape

How to make the hyacinth basket:

  1. Soak the hyacinth pots in water, place them in a strong plastic bag and cut the bag at the right height.
  2. Cut squares out of the paper, fold them around the pots and loosely stick them slightly above the edge with the tape. Make sure that there is a bit of room around the stems so that you can water them.
  3. Arrange the bulbs between the pine cones.
