you will need
- Plants suitable for drying (they need woody or thin stems), such as sage and lavender
- Clothesline
- Rope (to bundle the bunches)
- Nice pegs
- A few dry days (so keep an eye on rainfall)
how to make it
Arrange small bunches of the same plants and hang them upside down to dry. For best results, do so in a place in the shade, where it gets warm. After a few days, they will be dru. You can test this by squeezing the stem. Is it no longer flexible and stays unyeilding? Then your dried plants are ready to shine!
after drying
Dry bouquets or vases combining fresh and dry stems have become increasingly popular in recent years. Dried flowers and plants are enormously versatile. Frame them or turn them into a stylish sphere; they also look great placed simply in a vase. What's more, a single plant stem with subdued colour can provide just the tranquillity that a dull corner needs.
