Fill your garden with flowers, berries and leaves in warm shades

The crossover period between summer and autumn, sometimes called an Indian summer, is characterised by still-warm days and red-gold leaves on trees. It's not always sunny in September, but but when it does stay warm right until the end of summer, the effect in nature is quite magical. It's fun to head outside and watch the show that nature is putting on in our garden, terrace or balcony. In the evening, we stay warm with a burning fire pit or under a cosy blanket. 1) RED AND PURPLE

Want to create a warm atmosphere with just two plants? Then combine cheerfully flowering Hellebore Early Red (Christmas rose) with the sturdy leaves of pretty Alumroot. The striking shapes of these two garden plants make this combination a playful and stylish whole. Whether you place the plants in the ground, in pots or in containers, they'll shine! Additional advantage: both plants are winter hardy and you can enjoy them all winter long with peace of mind.

2) PURPLE RAIN

Casual, lush and with warm purple tones, this combination of autumnal garden plants is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The height differences make this combination an extra eye-catcher. Here we used Aster Novi Belgii, Brassica, Juniperus Chinensis Stricta, Chamaecyparis Pisifera Sungold (dwarf conifer) and Hebe Magicolors.

3) POT OF GOLD

You don't have to look for the end of the rainbow this autumn. You can easily create a pot of gold yourself! Chrysanthemums in different colours, from golden yellow to orange and deep red, are a golden autumn combination. Plant them in a pot and give them a prominent place in your garden or on your balcony. And for an extra-magical effect, combine them with pumpkins and let them shine in the autumn sun.
