This is what you will need
- Crab apples
- Thin metal wire
- Wide ribbon in a natural colour
- Amaryllis bulbs
- A sturdy lamp
How to make the display
- Thread the crab apples onto the metal wire. You can use ordinary wire but you can also bend metal wire which gives a nicer effect.
- Bind a long piece of ribbon around the thickest part of the flower bulb and cut the loose ends really short.
- Hang the bulbs and apples in the lamp and surprise yourself how really simple it is and how great they look.
Make them for Christmas, enjoy the flowers in the New Year!
To make the bulbs flower, place them in a bowl of water the night before you hang them up so that they can absorb lots of moisture. As an added bonus, this also helps clean them to for the most attractive festive display. To make them grow, spray their roots now and again with a plant spray. Amaryllis bulbs always look for the highest point so they will grow upwards from whichever angle they hang.
