- Modeling clay (around 1.75lbs to make 3 planters)
- Rolling pin
- Party hat
- Circle relative to the size you will want your planter (Mine was 8" in diameter)
- Clay tools or a knife
- Ruler
- Metal cookie sheet

- Oven
- Acrylic paint

Which plants work best?
As you can see from the pictures, these covetable cones make a cute foil for cacti (particularly the spherical kind that looks a bit like a scoop of spiky ice-cream). Succulents would also work well – or why not opt for a trailing plant, such as a ‘string of pearls’.
