Calla lily: houseplant of the month

Elegant flutes in all the colours of the rainbow

The flowers of the glorious Calla lily rise up flutelike from smart, spotted leaves to brighten up our homes. The blooms unfurl in colours ranging from white to not-quite-black, and all the shades of the rainbow in between. Originally from the swamps of southern Africa, the Calla lily is a beautiful houseplant for June.
