In Ramirez’s words, the Clorofilas is “a creative laboratory that explores the aesthetic potential of vegetation as a primary source for experimentation”. Since launching the project, the artist, who currently lives in England, has worked on a vast range of projects such as set design, botanical and floral design, and education workshops.

From transforming a disused Edwardian public toilet block into a botanical haven, to creating a stunning living wall, where earthy moss is beautifully contrasted with succulents in pretty pastel tones, The Clorofilas lab has a knack of turning banal spaces into places of beauty.
