But this photographic DIY Christmas card project from the B.Loved blog is about to change all of that! These festive foliage still-life cards are truly beautiful – and surprisingly easy to make. The key? Choosing the right plants to make your arrangement shine.
Create your own
The team have kindly produced downloads of Gemma’s calligraphy for readers to download. To create your own unique arrangement, simply download and print your favourite message, adorn it with festive foliage, flowers and fruit – and snap your handiwork.
Frosted foliage
The creative team came up with three inspired themes: a floral arrangement inspired by classical paintings, a fruity design inspired by mulled wine and our favourite – a plant based design of ‘frosted’ foliage.
To create your own ‘frosted foliage’ card, choose plants with delicate, white tinged leaves, such as eucalyptus, and succulents in a rainbow of dusky pinks, purples and mint greens. Complement the look with white ranunculus – and finish with a dusting of gold sequins.
