Homemade Aloe Water

Is this the new coconut water?

We all know about the skin-loving properties of aloe vera - it instantly hydrates, is an effective after-sun soother, and relieves the discomfort of minor burns. But this low-maintenance houseplant has also been steadily making a name for itself over recent years as the ‘it’ drink for the health conscious. Like that supermodel favourite coconut water, aloe vera water has been bottled and snapped up by supermarkets. So what’s the deal?

A question of digestion

Aloe vera has long been believed to be a great digestion aid. As there have been no conclusive clinical trials to confirm its medicinal benefits, we’re not making any claims. But if you fancy giving it a try, we reckon the homemade natural route is the way to go. It’s cheaper than buying it from the supermarket and without any of the additives.
